    Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has made a strong bid for his fourth All-Star appearance, and baseball fans have rewarded him for his early-season efforts.

    MLB revealed the first update of the fan vote for the 2024 All-Star Game Monday afternoon, and Guerrero is currently the leader among all-American League first basemen with over 746,000 votes. He is trailed by the Baltimore Orioles’ Ryan Mountcastle and the Cleveland Guardians’ Josh Naylor.

    Guerrero Jr. currently leads all qualified American Leaguers at first in Wins Above Replacement, batting average, on-base percentage and hits, according to FanGraphs.

    Blue Jays players checked in among the top-10 vote-getters at each position. Here is a list of where each Toronto player ranks and how many votes they got as of Monday’s update:

    Joining Guerrero as the American League position leaders are Adley Rutschman, Jose Altuve, Jose Ramirez, Gunnar Henderson, Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez.

    In the National League, the top players at each position are William Contreras, Bryce Harper, Luis Arraez, Alec Bohm, Mookie Betts, Jurickson Profar, Christian Yelich, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Shohei Ohtani.

    Phase 1 of voting ends at 12:00 p.m. ET on June 27. Players need to be in the top two vote recipients at their position — or in the top six as an outfielder — to advance to Phase 2.

    Phase 2 is a head-to-head competition between the finalists at each position, beginning on June 30 and concluding on July 3 before the starters are revealed later that night.

    All-Star pitchers and reserves will be announced on July 7 and will be chosen through a combination of player ballots and selections made by the Commissioner’s Office.
