As the NHL off-season continues to unfold, teams are making moves to strengthen their rosters for the upcoming season. With the NHL Draft just around the corner on July 23-24, teams are looking to add young talent to their organizations.

One of the biggest stories of the off-season so far has been the Seattle Kraken’s expansion draft. The Kraken selected one player from each of the existing 30 NHL teams to build their inaugural roster. Some notable players selected include Mark Giordano from the Calgary Flames, Yanni Gourde from the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Jordan Eberle from the New York Islanders.

The Philadelphia Flyers also made a significant move by trading for defenseman Ryan Ellis from the Nashville Predators.

On the free agent front, some big names have already found new homes. Dougie Hamilton signed a seven-year deal with the New Jersey Devils, while Zach Hyman signed a seven-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers. Other notable signings include David Savard with the Montreal Canadiens and Blake Coleman with the Calgary Flames.

As teams continue to make moves in preparation for the upcoming season, fans can expect more trades, signings, and roster changes in the coming weeks.
