Taylor Heise of PWHL Minnesota Receives Playoff MVP Award

Taylor Heise has another first.

The first-overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft was named winner of the Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP Award on Wednesday after helping Minnesota beat Boston 3-0 in the fifth and final game of the league final.

Heise led the league with five playoff goals and tied for the lead with eight points in 10 games.

The big post-season came after Heise finished tied for 21st in regular-season scoring with four goals and nine assists in 19 games.

The Minnesota native won the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top player in NCAA women’s hockey with the University of Minnesota in 2022.
