The Edmonton Oilers have made a significant move in signing forward Raphael Lavoie to a one-year, two-way contract. This deal gives the team added depth and versatility in their lineup for the upcoming season.

Lavoie, a 21-year-old native of Chambly, Quebec, was originally drafted by the Oilers in the second round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has shown great promise and potential as a skilled forward with a strong scoring touch.

The two-way contract means that Lavoie will have the opportunity to play for both the Oilers and their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, depending on the team’s needs and his performance. This flexibility allows him to continue developing his game at the professional level while also gaining valuable experience in different playing environments.

With his size, speed, and scoring ability, Lavoie has the potential to make a significant impact for the Oilers this season. He will have the chance to compete for a spot on the team’s roster during training camp and preseason games, showcasing his skills and earning his place among the talented group of forwards on the team.

Overall, this signing is a positive move for the Oilers as they continue to build a competitive and dynamic roster for the upcoming season. Lavoie’s addition adds depth and skill to the team’s forward group, giving them more options and flexibility as they strive for success in the highly competitive NHL.
