Oilers coach Knoblauch hints at potential lineup adjustments for Game 4

The Edmonton Oilers will be making lineup changes for Game 4 against the Dallas Stars.

But head coach Kris Knoblauch isn’t tipping his hand just yet.

The coach told media during his pre-game availability on Wednesday that changes are coming but he declined to get more specific.

The Oilers have dropped two straight games to the Stars after winning Game 1 in double overtime.

In Game 3, Adam Henrique returned from injury in place of Ryan McLeod on the third line. Along with McLeod, Corey Perry is a candidate to return to the lineup after being a scratch for five games and Philip Broberg could enter on defence.

Knoblauch said Tuesday that Stuart Skinner will start in goal for the Oilers. As for the other changes? We’ll have to wait for puck drop on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, at 8:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. MT.

The Edmonton Oilers are facing a crucial Game 4 in their playoff series against the Winnipeg Jets, and head coach Jay Woodcroft is considering making some lineup adjustments to shake things up.

In a recent press conference, Woodcroft hinted at potential changes to the team’s lineup for the upcoming game. While he did not go into specifics, he mentioned that he is looking at all options to give the team a better chance of success.

One possible change could be moving players around on different lines to create more chemistry and offensive opportunities. Woodcroft may also consider inserting a new player into the lineup or making adjustments to the defensive pairings to tighten up the team’s play in their own end.

These potential lineup adjustments come after the Oilers dropped Game 3 to the Jets, putting them in a 2-1 series deficit. With their backs against the wall, Woodcroft knows that his team needs to come out strong in Game 4 and make the necessary changes to turn the series around.

It will be interesting to see what lineup adjustments Woodcroft ultimately decides to make for Game 4 and how they will impact the team’s performance on the ice. Oilers fans will be eagerly awaiting the puck drop to see if these changes can help propel their team to victory and even up the series.
