PWHL Minnesota and general manager Natalie Darwitz have officially parted ways, the league announced Saturday.
The league said there is no immediate timeline for naming a replacement.
The news comes just 10 days after Minnesota captured the first-ever Walter Cup. Minnesota defeated Boston 3-0 in the fifth and final game of the series.
“We appreciate all that Natalie has done for PWHL Minnesota in the league’s inaugural season and her contributions to the team’s championship success,” PWHL senior vice president of hockey operations Jayna Hefford said in a release. “We wish her the best moving forward.”
Darwitz was hired in September 2023 to lead Minnesota following a successful playing background that includes two NCAA championships with the University of Minnesota and three Olympic medals with Team USA.
Minnesota’s coaching staff will make the team’s selections during Monday’s PWHL Draft.
