Highlights and schedule for Day 11 of the Olympic Games Paris 2024

Twenty-four years after another stirring Olympic men’s basketball run ended in the quarterfinals against France, Canada gets a rematch on Tuesday.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads Canada into the country’s first Olympic knockout game since 2000 when Steve Nash and Co. lost 68-63 to a French team that ended up falling to the United States in the final in Sydney.

Here are Day 11 Paris 2024 highlights, along with the full schedule for Tuesday.

Canadian women’s water polo team (quarterfinals, 8 a.m.)

Canada (1-3) faces Spain (4-0) in a rematch of a quarterfinal at this year’s world championship. Spain beat Canada 12-9 at worlds and went on to win bronze.

Caeli McKay (diving, women’s 10-m final, 9 a.m.)

The Calgary native finished seventh in the semifinals to qualify for the 12-woman final. McKay won bronze in this event at last year’s world championship.

Canadian men’s basketball team (quarterfinals, noon)

Canada takes on Victor Wembanyama and France in a much-anticipated quarterfinal. The Canadians are 3-0 at the Olympics and beat France 85-73 in a pre-tournament game.

Nick Wammes, Tyler Rorke, James Hedgcock (track cycling, men’s team sprint, 12:59 p.m.)

The Canadian trio won gold at last year’s Pan American Games and then bronze at a UCI Track Nations Cup earlier this season in Milton, Ont.

Canadian artistic swim team (free routine, 1:30 p.m.)

Canada sits seventh heading into the second of three portions of this event. Canada was second in the free routine at the Paris 2024 test event earlier this year.

Christopher Morales Williams (men’s 400-metre semis, 1:35 p.m.)

The 20-year-old Canadian is on the rise after winning the NCAA indoor and outdoor titles this season. He tuned pro just before the Olympics.

Camryn Rogers (women’s hammer throw final, 1:57 p.m.)

The reigning world champ tries to give Canada double gold in this event after Ethan Katzberg won the men’s hammer throw on Sunday.
