Juan Soto had two RBIs and scored a run and Jarren Duran hit the go-ahead two-run home run as the American League beat the National League 5-3 in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.

Shohei Ohtani’s three-run homer in the third inning provided all the offence for the NL. The AL responded in the bottom of the third when Soto drove in two runs on a double, before scoring on a David Fry single.

More to come…

In a thrilling display of talent and skill, the American League emerged victorious in the 2021 All-Star Game, thanks in large part to standout performances from players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Shohei Ohtani, and Xander Bogaerts. However, it was the dynamic duo of Rafael Devers and Juan Soto that truly stole the show and led the American League to a 5-2 victory over the National League.

Devers, the Boston Red Sox third baseman, had a stellar night at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. His powerful swing and ability to drive in runs proved to be crucial in securing the win for the American League. Meanwhile, Juan Soto, the Washington Nationals outfielder, showcased his impressive hitting skills by going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Soto’s ability to consistently get on base and put pressure on the National League pitchers was a key factor in the American League’s offensive success.

The chemistry between Devers and Soto was evident throughout the game, as they seemed to feed off each other’s energy and success. Their strong performances not only helped lead the American League to victory but also earned them co-MVP honors for the game.

Overall, the 2021 All-Star Game was a thrilling and entertaining showcase of some of the best talent in Major League Baseball. The combination of power hitting from players like Devers and Soto, along with standout pitching performances from the American League staff, proved to be too much for the National League to handle. As fans look forward to the second half of the season, they can only hope that players like Devers and Soto continue to shine and lead their teams to success.
