The 2024 MLB Draft is officially underway, and teams are making their first-round selections to kick off the annual event. With so much talent available in this year’s draft class, fans are eager to see which players will be chosen to join their favorite teams.

Here is a comprehensive tracker of the day one picks of the 2024 MLB Draft:

1. Detroit Tigers – With the first overall pick, the Tigers select outfielder Alex Rodriguez from Vanderbilt University. Rodriguez is a five-tool player with a strong arm and excellent speed on the basepaths.

2. Baltimore Orioles – The Orioles choose pitcher Jake Smith from Texas A&M University with the second overall pick. Smith is a hard-throwing right-hander with a devastating fastball and a sharp breaking ball.

3. Miami Marlins – The Marlins opt for shortstop Carlos Martinez from the University of Miami with the third overall pick. Martinez is a slick-fielding infielder with a quick bat and excellent plate discipline.
