Caitlin Clark of Fever sets new rookie record for three-pointers made

The WNBA’s rookie three-pointer record officially belongs to Caitlin Clark.

Knocking down her 86th three-pointer on Wednesday against the Connecticut Sun, the Indiana Fever star surpassed Rhyne Howard’s previous record of 85.

Clark tied Howard’s mark on Monday in a game against the Atlanta Dream. Howard hit 85 three-pointers during her rookie campaign with the Dream in 2022.

This is far from the only history Clark has made this season. Some of her other accomplishments include setting the single-season rookie record for assists, the single-game record for assists, and recording the first triple-double in Fever history, which was also the first for a rookie in the WNBA.

Meanwhile, the Fever are 14-16 on the season, sitting seventh in the 12-team league. Eight teams advance to the playoffs, which begin on Sept. 22.

Caitlin Clark, the talented rookie guard for the Indiana Fever, has been making waves in the WNBA with her impressive three-point shooting skills. In a recent game against the Atlanta Dream, Clark set a new rookie record for the most three-pointers made in a single game.

Clark, who was selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft, has quickly established herself as a key player for the Fever. Known for her sharpshooting ability and fearless demeanor on the court, Clark has been a standout performer in her first season in the league.

In the game against the Dream, Clark knocked down an impressive 8 three-pointers, surpassing the previous rookie record of 7 set by Kelsey Plum in 2017. Her hot shooting helped lead the Fever to a crucial victory and showcased her ability to take over a game with her scoring prowess.

Clark’s performance not only earned her praise from fans and analysts alike but also solidified her status as one of the top young talents in the WNBA. With her deadly accuracy from beyond the arc and her ability to create her own shot, Clark has the potential to be a game-changer for the Fever for years to come.

As she continues to hone her skills and gain experience at the professional level, Caitlin Clark is poised to become a force to be reckoned with in the WNBA. Her record-breaking performance against the Dream is just the beginning of what promises to be a bright future for this rising star.
