Bronny James of the Lakers records more fouls than points in Summer League defeat

Bronny James was held to just two points in his third Summer League appearance for the Los Angeles Lakers, an 88-74 loss to the Boston Celtics.

James shot 1-5 from the field and missed three three-point attempts. He had three fouls, two turnovers and one assist in just under 25 minutes of playing time.

James, the son of Lakers star LeBron James, was drafted by L.A. with the 55th pick in last month’s NBA Draft.

Dalton Knecht, the Lakers’ first-round pick last month, led L.A. with 19 points. Maxwell Lewis, a second-round pick in 2023, was the only other Laker to score in double digits with 13 points.

Centre Neemias Queta led the Celtics in scoring with 22 points. Other double-digit scorers included Jahmi’us Ramsey (13) and Drew Peterson (12).

In a recent Summer League game, Bronny James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James and a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, recorded more fouls than points in a disappointing defeat. The young prospect, who is just beginning his basketball career, struggled to find his rhythm on the court and ended the game with more fouls than points.

This performance may come as a surprise to some fans who have high expectations for Bronny, given his famous father and the hype surrounding his potential as a future NBA player. However, it is important to remember that he is still a teenager and has a lot of room to grow and develop as a player.

It is not uncommon for young players to struggle in Summer League games, as they are facing competition that is often more experienced and physically mature than what they are used to. This can lead to frustration and mistakes on the court, such as committing fouls.

Despite this setback, it is important for fans and analysts to keep in mind that Bronny is still in the early stages of his basketball career and has plenty of time to improve and reach his full potential. With the guidance of his father and the coaching staff of the Lakers, he has the support and resources needed to continue developing his skills and becoming a successful player in the future.

Overall, while this performance may have been disappointing for Bronny and his supporters, it is just a small bump in the road on his journey to becoming a successful NBA player. With hard work, dedication, and perseverance, there is no doubt that he has the potential to make a name for himself in the basketball world.
