    Bo Bichette of the Blue Jays records a single in his third rehab game with triple-A Buffalo

    Bo Bichette picked up another hit in his third rehab game with the triple-A Buffalo Bisons.

    The Toronto Blue Jays shortstop went 1-for-4 while serving as Buffalo’s designated hitter while batting second against the Gwinnett Stripers on Friday night.

    Bichette recorded an RBI single in the seventh inning. It was his hardest-hit ball of the night, coming off his bat at 107.4 m.p.h.

    The two-time All-Star hit the ball hard in his first three trips to the plate, as well, recording outs at 90, 96 and 102.4 m.p.h.

    Rafael Lantigua pinch-hit for Bichette when his spot in the order came up in the top of the ninth.

    Bichette is now 3-for-10 in his rehab stint. He has singled in all three games with the Bisons.

    Before Toronto’s game Friday, Blue Jays manager John Schneider appeared on Blair & Barker to discuss Bichette’s progress.

    “Things are going well for him,” the big league skipper said. “We’re just kind of seeing how he feels after each game and kinda going from there. Everything has gone according to plan in terms of the number of innings and number of at-bats.”

    Schneider added that there was “no definite timetable” for Bichette to return to the Blue Jays lineup.

    The 26-year-old had not played since July 19 due to a calf strain. He has been on the injured list twice this season because of the same injury.

    Bichette was in the midst of the poorest offensive output of his six-year career before the injury with a .222/.275/.320 slash line and just four home runs through 80 games this season.
