Two Title Fights Confirmed at UFC 306 Weigh-Ins with All Fighters Making Weight Ahead of Schedule

Dana White and the UFC’s expanded production team preparing for this weekend’s anticipated Sphere event can exhale after all 20 fighters successfully made weight Friday morning.

The athletes didn’t waste any time hitting the mark one day prior to UFC 306: O’Malley vs. Dvalishvili with all fighters stepping on the scale and hitting the target with well over an hour remaining in the official weigh-in window.

That means no fighters will be fined a percentage of their purse for missing weight, no bouts will need to be change to a catchweight, and the specialized production at the Sphere that has been rehearsed all week can proceed as planned.

Fighters will still need to pass pre-fight medicals on Saturday in order to compete but on the eve of the second annual Noche UFC card all 10 fights (five prelims and five main card matchups) are locked in as official.

The event is headlined by a men’s bantamweight title fight between reigning champ Sean O’Malley and No. 1 contender Merab Dvalishvili. The co-main event is a trilogy bout between current women’s flyweight titleholder Alexa Grasso defending against former longtime champion Valentina Shevchenko.

Manon Fiorot, the No. 2-ranked contender in the women’s flyweight division, also successfully made weight on Friday despite not having an opponent on the card. Fiorot was pegged as the official backup fighter for Grasso vs. Shevchenko 3.
