Gabriel Suazo of Chile receives red card in 27th minute against Canada

Just like in their match against Peru, Canada will get to play up a man as they look for a win against Chile.

Gabriel Suazo earned himself a red card after pushing down Canadian midfielder Richie Laryea in the 27th minute, resulting in his second yellow card of Saturday’s Copa America match.

Despite Suazo’s best efforts to plead his case, the referee sent him off.

Earlier, Suazo was given his first yellow for a tackle on Laryea around mid-field in the 11th minute.

The 26-year-old Chilean left-back plays in France with Toulouse of Ligue 1.

In Canada’s monumental win over Peru, defender Miguel Araujo was given a red card in the 59th minute after a tackle sent Canadian winger Jacob Shaffelburg to the pitch as they battled for the ball.

Canada was able to take advantage of being a man up on Tuesday after Jonathan David scored in the 74th minute, and will look to do the same with the advantage over Chile on Saturday night.

In a recent international soccer match between Chile and Canada, Gabriel Suazo of Chile received a red card in the 27th minute of the game. The red card was given to Suazo after a reckless challenge on a Canadian player, resulting in his ejection from the game.

The red card proved to be a turning point in the match, as Chile was forced to play with only 10 men for the remainder of the game. This disadvantage put Chile at a significant disadvantage, as they struggled to maintain possession and create scoring opportunities against a strong Canadian team.

Suazo’s red card also had implications beyond just the match itself. As a result of his ejection, Suazo will be suspended for Chile’s next game, further impacting the team’s chances of success in future matches.

Overall, Gabriel Suazo’s red card in the 27th minute against Canada was a costly mistake that had significant consequences for both himself and his team. It serves as a reminder of the importance of discipline and sportsmanship in the game of soccer, as one moment of recklessness can have far-reaching effects on a team’s performance.
