Radek Faksa returns to lineup for Game 4 against Oilers

The Dallas Stars are making one tweak to their lineup Wednesday for Game 4 of the Western Conference Final against the Edmonton Oilers.

Stars head coach Peter DeBoer told reporters centre Radek Faksa will dress in favour of Craig Smith.

Faksa has one goal in seven games during the playoffs. His lone goal was the series-winner for the Stars in their 2-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 7 of the opening round. Faksa also missed three games during that series due to an undisclosed injury.

The 30-year-old Faksa, who was drafted 13th overall by the Stars in 2012, finished the regular season with seven goals and 19 points in 74 games.

Smith, 34, assisted on Faksa’s goal against Vegas and overall has two helpers in 14 playoff games. He registered 11 goals and 20 points in 75 games during the regular season.

Dallas holds a 2-1 series lead following a 5-3 victory Monday in Edmonton.

After missing the first three games of the series against the Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars forward Radek Faksa is set to make his return to the lineup for Game 4. Faksa, who has been dealing with an undisclosed injury, is a key player for the Stars and his presence on the ice will be a welcome sight for both his teammates and fans.

Faksa, known for his strong defensive play and ability to contribute offensively, will provide a boost to the Stars’ lineup as they look to even the series against the Oilers. His physical presence and ability to win key faceoffs will be crucial in helping the Stars control the pace of the game and shut down Edmonton’s high-powered offense.

In his absence, the Stars have had to rely on other players to step up and fill the void left by Faksa. While they have managed to stay competitive, having Faksa back in the lineup will undoubtedly strengthen their chances of coming out on top in Game 4.

Faksa’s return comes at a critical juncture in the series, with the Stars looking to build momentum and take control of the series. His experience and leadership will be invaluable as they look to make a deep playoff run and ultimately compete for the Stanley Cup.

Fans can expect to see Faksa making an impact on both ends of the ice in Game 4, as he looks to help lead the Stars to victory and even the series against the Oilers. His return is sure to energize both the team and the fan base, as they look to continue their quest for playoff success.
